Guest Reflections
Gifts of a Special Spa Vacation
Guests are invited to share their Hawaii Island Retreat experiences and the spell of Ahu Pohaku Ho'omaluhia. Many find that their vacation, spa experience, or personal retreat time offer ample opportunity for reflection in nature. The seaside groves and valley inspire a deeper sense of renewal and insights into the joy of living.
Enjoy your morning in the garden or an afternoon exploring the ancient stones of Honopueo. Many say the words seem to flow onto the page.
Your will also find longer articles on Ahu Pohaku Ho'omaluhia in our Green Living section, or writings on the art and science of spa in our Spa Writings library.

The haven of aloha
The haven of aloha, selfindulgence, peace and quiet we so desperately needed.
We felt so welcome! Although our need for rest was well respected, our cravings for fine capucino and friendly chats were indulged at just the right moments. I am certain to return to this retreat one day, and then I will absolutely want to stay in one of the yurt huts that were still being built when we were there. They are right next to the infinity pool
Gorgeous spacious rooms, tastefully decorated.
All rooms open to a lovely, open courtyard, and each has a good size balcony. This place has everything for a wonderful visit. Spa facilities include massage,
And there is a wonderful pool."
Everyone and everything was terrific.
Now that we are back in the "real world", we wanted to thank you yet again for the absolutely most wonderful experience at the retreat. Your attention and care during our stay was more than we could have ever imagined.
While we are missing the calm and serenity of the retreat, we know in our minds that such a place exists and is waiting for our return.
The Brilliance of a multitude of stars
Your place is so beautiful! It seemed as if every star in the sky was lit up at night. I spent hours on the balcony just watching them.
We so loved the energy
We so loved the energy and beauty and felt our spirits respond in a most natural way...we got our money's worth! And then some.

Thank you for touching my soul...
...if only for a few days - you will stay in my heart for a long time to come, Jeanne, as an inspriation for the woman who knows how to truely bear fruit. Lynn F.
I never knew how much I had missed the solitude of nature...
...until I sat with Tutu and the council stones in your magical valley. I came home - how can I say it - refreshed and feeling somehow more whole, more 'me'. Ari C.
It is a place to be surrounded by nature
Quiet and breathtaking scenery. At night the night blooming jasmine releases its fragrance, the stars are spectacular and you see and hear no other signs of
civilization.
